Acmella Oleracea, also called paracress, toothache plant, or Jambu, is a flowering herb native to South America and Brazil. The extract is obtained from the aerial parts of the plant, including stems and flowers, using food-grade solvents like ethanol or glycerin. Its key active component is spilanthol, an alkylamide responsible for a mild tingling sensation and muscle-relaxing effects on the skin.
